Groundwater Symposium

A one day symposium on Groundwater in the Okanagan was held at the Penticton Lakeside Resort on January 23, 2007 to convey information on research currently being carried out as part of the Groundwater Assessment for the Okanagan Basin (GAOB). The symposium was sponsored by the Canadian Water Network, in partnership with the Okanagan Basin Water Board and the BC Ministry of Environment.

The symposium was well attended with over 100 people from various agencies taking in the day’s events.

In addition, the afternoon session included the public launch of the Okanagan Waterscapes Poster, a major educational tool on water in the Okanagan Valley.
