Mayor continues duty on water board

Osoyoos Today – February 20, 2018

Osoyoos Mayor Sue McKortoff appears to be enjoying her time on the Okanagan Basin Water Board.

The Mayor has agreed to sit another one-year term on the board — joining mayors from other Okanagan communities in setting direction for the management of water issues in the Okanagan valley.

“I have been on OBWB for three years,” she said Monday morning. “I am appointed by (the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen); and my alternate is Mark Pendergraft.

“There are three directors from each of the three regional districts.”

The RDOS representation also includes Oliver mayor Ron Hovanes and Summerland mayor Peter Waterman.
