WHISTLER – The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen in collaboration with Okanagan Basin Water Board, as well as the Central and North Okanagan Regional Districts met with Steve Thomson, Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations to discuss Zebra and Quagga Mussels at UBCM.
“The Minister informed us of the steps the Province is taking to ensure that zebra and quagga mussels do not reach BC waters,” RDOS Chair Pendergraft said in a press release. Regular updates from the Ministers office on these efforts are expected.
