Many valuable guides and toolkits have been written for the planning community, providing innovative policies, case studies, bylaw language, and legal approaches to environmental protection. While much effort and public funding has gone into developing these resources, uptake has been slow. To help ease access to this important information, the OBWB and CivicInfo BC created a new online hub that brings the resources together into one searchable database.
The OBWB and the Fraser Basin Council co-hosted a webinar in March to introduce the online hub. The webinar was attended by more than 75 planners, engineers, biologists, environmental scientists, sustainability specialists, and water managers from local and provincial governments, non-profit organizations, and consulting companies.
