Project Description:

The City of Kelowna retained Ecoscape Environmental Consultants Ltd. and Okanagan Wildlife Consulting to complete a review of potential options for American Avocet habitat enhancement and rehabilitation with the infilling of the remnants of Alki Lake as part of the Kelowna Landfill. The remnant of Alki Lake is the only consistently used and the largest Avocet colony in B.C.
