Project Description:

With the advancement of climate change, this project focused on the need of citizens and public institutions to become fully engaged in the issues of water and nature conservation.

Valley wide community outreach and education have been delivered through a series of practical workshops. Additionally, the creation of the permanent demonstration sites illustrates resilient landscapes that can withstand and thrive in drought conditions while at the same time provide another new way to showcase the latest solutions to measuring and reducing water use. In addition, these sites extend the concept of water conservation beyond just water, and introduce habitat and biodiversity as related support systems.

All activities were designed to shift attitudes and practices, informing regional residents about water conservation issues and supplying them with the tools and information needed to make changes on their own properties.
